The 19th June is Juneteenth, a day to honour the emancipation of enslaved Black Americans in 1865.
It is a day to celebrate freedom.
Juneteenth is an important day in Black American communities. It's a day for celebrating, but also for remembering struggle and community strength.
Black culture brought us lindy hop, so we remember the history that brought Black American culture to this place today.
